And, while I have motorcycled all over the world, it used to be difficult to keep up with my flying until the advent of the paramotor. Having a studio in an exotic tropical setting has always been a dream of mine and with our present situation in Phuket, Thailand, I've come about as close to realizing that dream as I could have probably every hoped for. There's no question that this island has changed a lot over the years - from an idyllic, undeveloped and little-known region to a major global tourist destination - but, it's still possible to find some out-of-the-way locations where one can live quietly, away from the madding crowds.

Of course, nothing completes the whole scene better than having a beautiful family to share it with.

My Thai wife, Lek, is an artist in her own right.

And our delightful 2-year-old daughter, Urni, has already demonstrated amazing precocity when it comes to handling a pencil.
